Tiger on the black rock

Postby jwild on Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:11 am

Tiger on the black rock, used to be my favourite setting in the Bandhavgarh National Park. This image is about 15 years old, I recently took out some raw scans and processed them again with the new techniques, learned over a period of time. I must admit, it still retains the charm.
Thankyou for your kind attention & views !

I am seeing a slight magenta cast Jagdeep - don't know if its the processing or early morning light with a rosy hue?

Anyway, this is a lovely image of a magnificent Tiger! I love the way it shows the face so well - and those powerful forearms and paws. The image certainly holds up well for a fifteen year old shot, and well worth the re-processing!

Apart from a bit of color cast....great pose. Almost like a model session for him.

A good image definitely stands the test of time, and this image proves it. Gorgeous cat and that black rock does make a very nice setting. I like the mood created here with the low light, but I also think this would look good brightened up some.

That is a timeless photo.
It looks like an exciting moment.
I did not notice a magenta tinge.
It does seem like you could still do some work to bring more contrast to a lovely picture.

Great pose and nice eyes, a beautiful specimen. Agree with earlier comments on color cast and brightness.
