Ghost Elephants

The Namibian Ghost Elephants are back and this time congregating at a watering hole. They are a very light gray due to the soil's alkalinity and light color that they dust themselves with.

Awesome image E.J. - I like the two primary subjects facing each other and your overall composition of them in the frame... the third elephant makes it all more interesting. Must be incredible to photograph these animals, let alone just see them.

I like the bookends composition here, and an excellent illustration of the effects of soil colous on the finished products once they've finished their beauty routine of bathing and dusting!
